Rotherham Credit Unions

Credit Unions are locally accountable savings and loans co-operatives and return their profit to their members rather than to share holders or private companies elsewhere in the country.  They exist to help people save regularly and gain access to fairly priced credit.  Loans from credit unions are much less costly than those from doorstep lenders, other loan companies and, for most people, from banks and shops.

Authorized and regulated by the Financial Services Authority credit unions are members of the Financial Services Ombudsman Service and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. www.fsa.gov.uk
