AGM Decisions

The Annual General Meeting of LASER's members on  23rd January 2006 agreed to:

• declare a 1% dividend on shares held during the year from 1st October 2004 to 30th September 2005.  The dividend will be paid into member's accounts shortly and is calculated on the balance held during the year, not on the balance held on 30th September.

 

• appoint the following three members as new directors:  Ruth Hobson, Chris Howard and Michael Jackson.  They join the following existing directors: Geoffrey Mills, Maurice Cope, Steve Millwood and Janet Hampshire.   Directors of the credit union are appointed by members to manage and develop the credit union on their behalf.  They are accountable to the membership and to the Financial Services Authority.

 

• appoint Jennie Graham as Supervisor.  Jennie's role is to act as the "members' watchdog".  Members can contact her if they are unhappy with the way the credit union is being run but feel unable to raise issues with the Board of Directors.  If you have issues to raise with Jennie phone 01709 836500 and leave a message for her to contact you.
