• Laser is working with Sheffield Credit Union to provide low cost loans to people who are financially excluded through the Department of Work and Pensions Growth Fund.  The scheme began in July 2007 and aims to reach people on benefits or low incomes.
• Laser is working with Rotherham Borough Council to provide low cost loans to homeless people to enable them to access private rented accommodation.  The scheme started in February 2007.
• Laser growth since October 2006 has exceeded all expectations.  Membership is growing at over 20 new members per month, savings are up 70% and lending is up 111%.
